Anne Hampton Potts, born on October 28, 1942, is an American actress. She was once nominated for a Golden Globe for the movie Corvette Summer in 1978. She won a Genie Award for Heartaches in 1981. She appeared in the critically acclaimed movie Ghostbusters in 1984 and Ghostbusters II in 1989. She has also appeared in movies like Jumpin’ Jack Flash and Pretty in Pink. Annie Potts Biography

Anne “Annie” Potts was born in Nashville, Tennessee in the United States in October 28th, 1952. She is the last born of Powell Grisette Potts and Dorothy Harris Billingslea. She has two siblings, Mary Eleanor Hovious and Elizabeth Grissette Potts.

She made her professional debut in 1978 for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in the comedy film Corvette Summer. She co-starred alongside Mark Hamill in the film. The film earned her a nomination for the Golden Globe Awards in 1979.

Annie grew up in Franklin, Kentucky, with her two sisters. She graduated from Franklin-Simpson High School in 1970. She played a titular character Heidi in production in summer camp when she was just 12. She joined Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri where she got a bachelor in fine arts degree. Annie was involved in a car accident when she was 21 that broke several bones below her waist.

James Hayman (1990-present). Annie met producer and director James Hayman in 1989 on the set of Sketches. The two hit it off and got married in 1990. In 1992, the couple welcomed their first child James Powell Hayman. They had a second boy in 1996 called Isaac Harris Hayman. The two are still married to date.
